The Healing of the Land: The Reason Behind Seeking the Face of God! (3)

If my people will… Seek my face; then will I hear from heaven and heal their Land. 2Chronicles 7:14

Imagine if you lose something valuable in your house; maybe car keys or a diamond ring. What would you do? Certainly you would search for it. if you had plans to play your video games or go shopping or visit you friends, you would stop those plans and search your lost diamond ring. Likewise, sometimes it requires us to put some things aside if we really wanna see God’s face, and engage ourselves on the things that will give strength to the spirit man, like fasting.

Now if I don’t see God’s face; figuratively speaking, that means I only see God’s back. In other words, God has turned his back on me. My friend, there is no painful experience on earth which can be compared to having God turns his back on you! It may hurt when people turn their back on you, but not like when God does, for it is unbearable!

O but how great it is when you finally see God’s face. Here is how “Jesus Culture” describes the experience on their song “Holy”

“Just one look on Your face
Just one glows on Your eyes
My whole world is changed my whole world is changed
Oh I seek only to see Your face
I don’t wanna go anywhere without You God”
In Hebrews 11:6, God promises us that he rewards those who sincerely seek him!

Yeah , I Tried...!

So there I was, you know, trying to convince God that I wasn't the right person for his blessing, I didn't deserve his favor and whatever that he thought I could become. I gave him all the reasons why I wasn't the best; I told him about my insecurities, my worst background that I don't even tell other people about. O, did he forget that I messed up where I ran away from? I told him all these to convince him that I was not the right person he can use! Seeing that nothing I said could convince him; I said to him, ok God but at least I'm satisfied with where I am. Everybody is good around me in fact I even have children and they are all happy here!
