For Every Problem, There is a Solution!

Long ago there were lots and lots of problems in the house of Israel while they were held captive by the Babylonians; there was oppression and every challenge that comes with it! Some of the people were even planning to go down to Egypt; nevertheless they inquired of the Lord before they could take that direction.

After ten days the lord told Jeremiah that the people must not go down to Egypt instead they must stay in the land for if they stay in the land; the Lord will build them up and not tear them down. He will plant them and not uproot them for he was grieved with the suffering he had inflicted on them. Jeremiah 42:10

The moral of the story is: when things are tough, we must ask God first for direction, like; what to do or where to go. Remember, it’s God who makes the land productive and prosperous. Sometimes we are not blessed because of the place we in, but we are blessed because of God who is in the Land!

If God builds you up no one will tear you down! If God plants you in the land no one will be able to uproot you! Just follow his instructions and you will be safe!

Yeah , I Tried...!

So there I was, you know, trying to convince God that I wasn't the right person for his blessing, I didn't deserve his favor and whatever that he thought I could become. I gave him all the reasons why I wasn't the best; I told him about my insecurities, my worst background that I don't even tell other people about. O, did he forget that I messed up where I ran away from? I told him all these to convince him that I was not the right person he can use! Seeing that nothing I said could convince him; I said to him, ok God but at least I'm satisfied with where I am. Everybody is good around me in fact I even have children and they are all happy here! Even though I had graduated with many degrees in Egypt but hey, I couldn't convince God not to bless me.
