Endurance ....

Many times God speaks to us, to warn us or give us direction, which way to take and where to go? Firstly we are able to hear his voice internally.  God will oftentimes warn us, don't go that route, go this way. Since he's a loving God, he makes sure that when we don't listen to his voice he uses other people like pastors or prophets in order to ensure that we get the message. Nevertheless,we just suppress His word and follow our own desires and end up in difficult situations that we could have avoided. So we end up saying,  "Only if I had listened to God I would have been far better than what I am now"

Luke 6:47-49 AMP
For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words in order to heed their teaching and does them, I will show you what he is like: [48] He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock. [49] But he who merely hears and does not practice doing My words is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it collapsed and fell, and the breaking and ruin of that house was great.

I don't need to be a prophet today in order to tell you that challenges and storms of life will come your way, for you already know that. The point is whether you stand on that day of trouble or not, will depend on whether you are obedient to God or not. May the Lord give you strength even during these times of testing.

Yeah , I Tried...!

So there I was, you know, trying to convince God that I wasn't the right person for his blessing, I didn't deserve his favor and whatever that he thought I could become. I gave him all the reasons why I wasn't the best; I told him about my insecurities, my worst background that I don't even tell other people about. O, did he forget that I messed up where I ran away from? I told him all these to convince him that I was not the right person he can use! Seeing that nothing I said could convince him; I said to him, ok God but at least I'm satisfied with where I am. Everybody is good around me in fact I even have children and they are all happy here! This is another level of life.

When Jane, a twelve year old girl would cry in order for her mother to pay close  attention to her; Joane (Jane's mother) would quickly attend to her, pampering and  tapping lightly on her back with massaging strokes of her hand. At that young age, Jane enjoyed this experience so much such that it became her normal. However, as she grew older, she noticed that her mother had changed  her response towards her. She then realized that she had to do something different in order to regain her mother's attention...
