God is still asking the same questions, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" He is looking for people who are willing to follow his leading, people who are willing to serve him. Jesus did not come to be served but to serve the father. In the same way; we should be the imitators of our Lord Jesus. We should desire more to serve in his house then to be served.
Jesus said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Mathew 9:37. Could it be possible that the reason the workers are few is because, we keep on ignoring the voice of God, we keep on postponing; we say I will serve tomorrow when everything is ok. Or we say let me accomplish my dreams first, and then I will serve later. If we put the things of God first, God will make our dreams a priority to him. He says in Psalms 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and he shall give you the desires of your heart.
There is never an activity performed in vein in the kingdom of God, particularly when it is done with the right motives. God will reward you for everything you do in his Kingdom. Support the vision of the church where God has planted you. Ask yourself, what can I do in order to advance the kingdom of God on earth? Look for ways to be a useful tool or vessel in the house of God. What is it that God has given you that you can use to advance his Kingdom? It could be a talent, finance or some expertize; whatever it can be, but are you using it for the Kingdom of God.
Peter and his friends had been fishing for the whole night but unfortunately without any success. In the morning Jesus asked that he could use their bout to stand or seat on it while preaching. After he had finished preaching he told them to throw their nets in the deep side of the ocean. Miraculously, they caught so much fish that even their nets started to break. It was so much that they even gave to other neighboring fishermen. It only began by allowing Jesus to use what they had, and then a miracle! God will meet your needs if you meet his.
You are about to experience a major breakthrough in your life but in order to unlock it you have to support the vision of the church.a
